Bound Feet Studies 2

Empress Rei is a victim of Chinese foot binding. I researched the procedure and its effects on the structure of the foot. When looking down on a foot wrapped with bindings, the toes look pointed and the foot appears almost triangular in shape. On the right is a drawing of the skeletal structure of a bound foot. Walking is extremely painful. Empress Rei's feet are so badly abused that walking is almost physically impossible; it leaves her very helpless.
