Valentine's Day 2011 Characters

These are the characters for my Valentine's Day card. The puppy and kitty and conversing.

I have the kitty's back to the viewer for a few reasons. The most important reason is that I want the kitty to convey its mood to the viewer through the speech bubble. This works best if the kitty's face isn't visible.

I doodled the characters on scrap paper first, but I worked from scratch in Adobe Illustrator to draw, color, and shade the illustration.
